Conservative Councillor Elected as New Leader of Harrow Council

Susan HallCouncillor Susan Hall was elected as the new leader of Harrow Council following and extraordinary Council meeting on Monday 16th September 2013.

The change in leadership was caused by serious divisions within the Labour group, amidst allegations of unfairness and racism leading to a split, with nine members of the Labour group breaking away to form their own independent political party. This meant that Harrow Council was left in a state of disarray and with no overall majority, eventually resulting in the election of a new leader and a Conservative led minority administration.

Harrow East Conservatives would like to congratulate Cllr Hall for her achievement and wish her every success in realising Harrow Conservatives vision of a Cleaner, Safer and Fairer borough.
