Ameet Jogia – Born in Edgware, Ameet has lived in Harrow his whole life. As a local Stanmore resident, Ameet has been honoured to serve as the Canons Ward Councillor since 2014 and is committed to supporting the local community in ensuring the area is cleaner, safer and greener. Ameet has worked hard over the years engaging with residents supporting them with a range of issues, as well as leading on major issues such as successfully opposing the developments over Stanmore and Canons Park Station. Ameet serves on the council’s traffic and road safety panel and is passionate about making roads safer for all.

Amir and his family have moved to Canons Ward some 6 years ago previously living just outside the ward. Amir is working as an IT Programme Manager and brings from his experience in governance and risk management to committee work where he has been closely scrutinising Labour’s borrowing policy. During his time serving on the Council, he has supported residents in keeping the character of the ward scrutinising schemes to build high risers.
