Out & About in Harrow Weald

Harrow East Conservatives were Out & About at College Hill Road, Kenton Lane, Kingfisher Close and Laurel Park in Harrow Weald on Saturday 6th April.  Members of the Harrow Weald Ward action team representing Bob Blackman MP, Cllr Ramji Chauhan, Cllr Tony Ferrari and Cllr Stephen Greek went about knocking on doors to listen to residents issues and concerns.

Key issues brought to our attention were:

–  At the junction of College Hill Road and The Avenue, residents expressed concerns that an overgrown tree was not being maintained by the Council and that the constant falling of dead branches was a cause for concern and a danger to passers-by. Additionally, the fencing at the corner property at the same junction, was overgrown and causing obstruction for those using the footpath.

– Residents complained of a noticeable increase in dog fouling on the pavements.

– The pavements on the odd numbered side are poorly maintained and have been patched up with tarmac while the pavements on the other side (even numbers) were renewed recently with brand new paving stones.

Where possible, the issues will be raised with the Council and updates will be provided to the residents concerned, as and when we get responses.
